LIM College's Annual Fashion Show: This Friday

posted by LIM College

The annual LIM College Fashion Show will be held this Friday, April 8. This is the second year I have been able to attend and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Because I work in the Admissions Office at LIM College, I also have the pleasure of being a part of Accepted Students Day. For any student attending LIM College now, it is fondly remembered as one day that made them truly excited to come to school at LIM College. For those coming this year as LIM College students of the future, wait to see what is in store for you! Students who have been accepted have the opportunity to come and see the buildings another time, as well as come to the fashion show at the end of the day. It’s going to be a blast – just like last year!

The show last April was great, but because of some minor complications it was much shorter than it should have been. This year, with the direction of some very talented students, the show will most definitely be a hit, as will the after party.

The LIM College Fashion Show will be held at Roseland Ballroom on Friday, April 8 starting at 7pm. This year’s theme is Egyptian and the title of the show is “Kemet” which pays homage to what Egypt was called in the age of the empire. Luckily, the show is at a larger venue this year to hold the huge number of people that attend every year, and the after party will also be held at Roseland Ballroom.

Also, every year a different charity organization is picked to be represented at the show, and this year it is GrowNYC. GrowNYC is a textile recycler which either reuses or recycles textiles, which is much better for the environment than them going into a landfill.

For more details about the show you can go to the Kemet Facebook page

I hope to see you there!
