Don’t you just love it when you feel like you are finally doing something right?

Especially at an internship, it is always good to feel like you are on the right path. In the beginning of my position as a PR manager for NewTress, I really thought I was lost – I had no clue how or where to start. However, my goal was to succeed – no matter how much work it would take.

Now I can say I am getting very comfortable with my tasks. I’ve started work on a new partnership to promote our products and created different “pitch emails” to save time as we find new opportunities along the way. I’ve also researched beauty-related people on Instagram and selected those we could possibly reach out to get our product reviewed. Fun stuff, right?

I take my internship as seriously as I would if it was a paid public relations position. Why? Because the impression you make is equally as important, and the learning experience is also as valuable. Responsibilities are responsibilities, and no matter whether I am getting paid or not, I am taking my career to the next level.
