Fall in NYC

posted by LIM College

Well, I guess fall finally arrived here in NYC. The temperatures dropped (A LOT), and the leaves are slowly changing colors and letting go of their branches. Winter will approach soon, but before that even happens, we might as well enjoy this season since it’s so beautiful and so full of things to do.

Besides transitioning your closet to one with much warmer garments, there is so much to do around the city that you might never even be home this autumn. The museum of FIT will be featuring “Exposed: A History of Lingerie” until November 15th, and it is really worth the visit. Now, if you are thinking of a more food related event, you won’t want to miss Smorgasburg. This amazing food festival in Williamsburg is a huge hit and it offers all kinds of dishes. Smorgasburg is open until November 23rd.

Obviously something extremely “New Yorker-ish” that you can’t skip is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. It's become part of the American tradition, and people from all over come to see it or watch the parade on TV. There is a huge crowd that gathers to see the beautiful and gigantic balloons in the air and the great concerts that happen on this special day.

Now on a fashionable note, there are two collaborations happening this fall that we are all very excited about. The one and only Alexander Wang will be featuring his athletic collection for H&M, and luckily, LIM College is located between many H&M stores — that’s an advantage right there. Another great collaboration is Altuzarra for Target—who doesn’t want to check that out?

Enjoy the city and enjoy this beautiful time of the year. Before you know it the ground will be covered by snow and the holiday season will be here! Have fun!
