posted by LIM College

Incoming students always wonder what their first year of college is going to be like – the truth is it is different for everyone.

My advice to you is to make the most of it. You are only a freshman once, so make as many friends as you can in the beginning, because that is what is going to make the difference.

Join at least one club. This will get you involved in the LIM community. You’ll have so much fun and you’ll make more friends.
If you can, live in the residence hall for at least the first year. As an international student I found living at 1760 really helpful, because I didn’t know anyone in New York City and I met a lot of friends in the residence hall, including one of my best friends, who just happened to be my roommate.
There are also many different types of events going on in the residence hall all week long, so you’ll never get bored (plus they usually have free food!)
