The Rule of Kendrick

With only 14 tracks on his newest album DAMN., Kendrick Lamar embodies the saying “less is more."With tracks like “FEAR” and “FEEL,” Kendrick's purpose was clear: keep the beats minimal and let the words speak for themselves. The album opens up with a dialog resulting in Kendrick's death, which eventually introduces the second track, DNA.” The song throws jabs at present-day racism and police brutality, and along with other tracks such as “XXX,” gives us Kendrick's breakdown of the corrupt American society we live in. Kendrick shows he has no filter throughout the album, throwing shade at society's definition of beauty in his hit single “HUMBLE making “DAMN his most unapologetic and raw project yet.
