Well hello again, or should I say Bonjour!? (Yes, I am now a Beginning French student!)

The last time we spoke I was beginning my journey at Oscar de la Renta, loving my classes, and becoming accustomed to my full-fledged fashion student life in New York City. My how the time has flown! I have memories and experiences from my first semester at LIM College to reflect back on, that I once only dreamed of ever calling my own. As an LIM College student, this could be you!

So you’re probably wondering, what is it like to conquer your first semester, go home for the holidays, and return to the city for round two? Well, here I am charging forward in a new year and a new semester, and I can’t help but feel that I’m also living with a new mindset, with a fresh outlook for 2012.

It was refreshing to go home and see my family and friends after a jam-packed semester, but there is also something refreshing about returning to this city. I will never forget the smile that came across my face when I was flying into New York at dusk. On the horizon, beyond the almost blinding setting sun, was the New York skyline. It is profound and inspiring to live somewhere that continues to truly fascinate you each and every day. I can’t wait for you to be in awe as you walk the streets of NYC.

Along with being excited to be back in the city, I just completed my first week of classes. This semester, I am learning about music and how it affects fashion in my Pop Century class, as well as increasing my skills in public speaking, marketing, calculus, and am even beginning to learn French!

As a second semester student I am confident, comfortable, and committed to living and loving everything new in my life. 2012 is already flying, and we all have so much to look forward to! I mean the fresh runway looks are bound to get us fashion girls excited!

I hope your 2012 has been refreshing so far, and that you too are living your life with new confidence, new passion, and new inspiration. LIM College is waiting for your newfound enthusiasm, so bring it on!

Just like the skyline, your incredible future experiences in New York City are waiting just beyond the setting sun, on the horizon.
