LIM College

It's crazy how fast time flies by! I feel like I just got to LIMCollege not too long ago. This past week has been a wake-up call -- I will no longer be a college student after this week. Weird, crazy and exciting all at the same time.

This past Friday was the biggest day of college yet, presenting the Senior Capstone Group Project. It was very nerve-wracking, and as a group we worked hard all semester for this BIG day. Just the thought of presenting your work in front of not only your fellow classmates but also professors and the head of academics makes your nervousness increase.

When we arrived that morning to do last-minute practices we found out that someone from the business world was also going to be sitting in on our presentation. This definitely didn’t help any of my nerves, but my group went first and when I began introducing our presentation I felt everything we practiced just simply glide out of my mouth. When we were done it was like a huge weight was lifted off our backs that had been sitting there for months now.

I also recently took my Senior Graduation pictures with my cap and gown on. Boy, did this make it feel even more real! After taking all of the pictures, the photographer showed me the one with my cap and gown on. I thought to myself, “Wow, I really am graduating from LIM College!”

Next stop is the challenge of my first job. I was offered a position at Bed Bath & Beyond as an Assistant Buyer! I start the week after my internship ends. Here comes reality!

College is a milestone in life that I have now completed and I know there are many more exciting milestones to come.
