Describe your day. There really is no “typical” day. I assist with all phases of planning events, so my day can include everything from creating display elements to running errands, office work, and, obviously, attending the events. I also do outreach and booking for our photo booth. There’s never a set routine!

What surprised you about LIM? How much experience everyone (faculty, staff and administrators) had in the fashion industry.

Which class or classes were most transformative for you? I don’t think there was a specific class that transformed my mindset or career path. I think that every class at LIM sets you up to be very well-rounded in the industry and you can create the path that you want. I did love my Textiles class, it was just a very interesting to learn about fabrics and materials, etc.

Favorite spots in NYC: This is hard. My bed, ha ha ha. The Upper West Side. Walking around, finding new places to eat. I love to explore food and cultures.

Why did you choose LIM? When I was in high school, I was between going to law school or studying fashion. After lots of decision making, I chose the fashion route, obviously. When I went to an Open House at LIM, I fell in love. I didn’t need to visit any other school. LIM had a sense of community. The professors knew your name, they wanted you to succeed, and all the faculty and staff were there to support your endeavors and ideas.

Want to see the school for yourself? Take the (virtual!) tour.
