022015Starting your career as a blogger like Chriselle Lim, Maskcara, Temptalia, or Song Of Style takes hard work and dedication. The rewards though, are pretty amazing including opportunities to work with high end and independent brands, event invitations, networking opportunities, and making wonderful friends. If you want to build your career as a writer, well, you are in luck! I am going to share with you some tips and tricks on how to get started in the Blogosphere.

STOP & THINK: What is the theme of your blog? What do you want to say to your readers? It is very important to find your identity. There are many beauty and fashion blogs on the Internet that share the same information, but, you need to make yourself stand out. Be an original, not a copy.

MONEY IS NO OPTION: You don’t have to spend money to start a blog online. There are many free blog-platforms that you can use as your starting point. Breathe, relax, I have you covered. Here are the most popular money-free blog platforms:

BE CONSISTENT: Write and update your blog as much as you can, but don’t spend every waking moment of your life to blog on every hour in the day. It is not a crime to have a life outside of blogging. Just stay consistent, and post content when the moment feels right.

EXCERCISE THOSE CREATIVE MUSCLES: Post beauty and fashion pictures, creative videos, upload songs or podcast. It is YOUR blog! The world is in your hands. Be creative as you can be. Like I said before: Find Your Voice.

NO SPAM: As the old saying goes: “Treat others the same way you would like to be treated.” Nobody likes a spammer. Just share your work once and be done. Trust me, people are reading your content.

HAVE FUN: This is the most important tip of all. Have fun writing and sharing your work publicly. Do not just create a blog for the fame or the opportunity to receive free products or work with brands. You have to build credibility before enjoying the rewards.

Good luck on your blogging journey. You are going to be great! Thank you for reading.
