Paulina_Gonzalez.jpgSpring has sprung and the season always inspires new trends that we will see all over the streets of New York City. For the first student style profile of spring I interviewed Paulina Gonzalez, a 20 year old sophomore here at LIM who is originally from Honduras and loves to cook, shop, and workout!

Name: Paulina Gonzalez

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: San Pedro Sula, Honduras

How would you describe your personal style? My personal style really depends on my mood so it changes on a daily basis. I love solid dark and neutral colors. I’m not really a big fan of prints or florals, but since I do wear a lot of dark colors I try to wear bright colored scarves and accessories to make my look pop! I would say my style is a mixture of preppy, edgy, and classic.

Why did you choose to attend LIM? I always wanted to pursue a career in fashion mixed with business, especially in New York City. When I heard about LIM and saw that it offered the major that I was interested in, I knew it was the perfect fit for me.

How do you feel LIM is preparing you for life after college? LIM is preparing me in many ways, such as helping me with jobs, internships, and networking at events. The more experience I gain the better chance I will have at being successful in the future.

Who is your style icon? Victoria Beckham, she is very sophisticated and elegant. I think she looks great in everything!

Favorite color? In clothes I would say black, otherwise it’s purple!

Favorite designer? This is difficult but I would say Carolina Herrera because her designs make women look elegant, delicate, and girly. I am also loving Olivier Rousteing for Balmain. He uses amazing details in his clothes. I especially love his jackets and blazers.

Favorite Spring 2016 trend? Seventies-inspired suede.
