The Orange Trend on Runways

Written by LIM College | 10/8/10 3:31 PM

In addition to Dolman sleeves, Mad Men inspired looks, longer skirts, and 70’s style trends this past Fashion Week, the color orange was a big trend. Designers call the hue by various names: pumpkin, rust, tangerine, or even bright mango. That range of shades has gone far beyond one type of apparel to beautiful dresses, blouses, skirts and even accessories and makeup.

Orange lipstick was a favorite for models strutting on the runway. Marc Jacobs, Carlos Miele, Whitney Port, Chris Benz, Tory Burch, Vena Cava, Proenza Schouler and Mulberry all adopted the warm but not garish color.
