Lists, lists and more lists
To-do lists are super important in order to put everything in perspective and see how much work you have in any specific day or week. With a list, we have a clear image of what needs to be done and we can start checking things off as we go and feel better about ourselves because things are actually getting done.
Prioritize
Prioritizing is one of the best things we can do in order to accomplish everything we need to. There are many tasks that need to be done first because of deadlines or because of the amount of work that will take to complete the task. Once the time consuming task is out of the way, we can squeeze in all the other things that weren’t as important. This way you'll also be sure that the most important or time consuming task is actually out of the way.
Don’t overthink it.
I constantly freak out that I have way too much on my plate, but at the end of the day I always accomplish everything I need to. “Just do it” is what I tell myself in times when I am thinking about the huge amount of work I have. We should always take it a day at a time, give our best, and don’t put too much pressure on ourselves.
Be sure to make time for fun.
A week can go by superfast and maybe we barely saw the light of day. Take time to go for a walk, or to exercise or even to just watch your favorite show. I make sure I have some “me” time every day, even if it’s short. Do the same. Being a grown-up is a lot of work, but it should always be fun!
