Turning "Rags" to "Styles"

We are able to recycle these used yet quality "rags" and still stay in "style" without being wasteful.

Shirts

My name is Hannah Miller and I graduated from LIM College in 2017 with a BBA in Fashion Merchandising. Ever since high school, I knew I wanted to do something related to business and fashion, and LIM brought those two interests together perfectly.

During my Senior Co-op at LIM, I wasn't interested in working for a large corporation and opted to complete my internship at Woodstock Vibes, a local thrift store in my area at the time. While at WV, I managed their social media accounts and was responsible for creating content for advertising purposes. This was such an amazing opportunity, because I was able to style and photograph every day I went into the office.

As a "broke college student," I always had a love for thrift shopping and was always eager to support local and small businesses, as I felt you could find hidden gems in doing so. Throughout my internship (and being hired after graduation as a full-time employee), I learned so much about vintage clothing and the secondhand market.

After almost two years of working at WV, I decided I wanted a change of scenery and moved halfway across the country to Denver, Colorado. Although Denver is a city, there are limited fashion related opportunities, so I began working outside my field of study. I have always had a love for fashion, sustainability, and photography, so while working a 9-5, I decided to launch my own secondhand website called Rags of Style. Since LIM has recently added a minor in sustainability, I thought it would be a great idea to share my new shop with current students in hopes to inspire them to pursue something they're truly passionate about!

Rags to Style

Rags of Style is an environmentally focused, sustainable, social-first brand. We are here to utilize the resources that are already on the earth in hopes of slowing down the production that goes along with fast fashion. Upcycling clothing is becoming more popular every day, and we are here to provide old-school t-shirts to keep your wardrobe up-to-date. We're able to recycle these used yet quality "rags" and still stay in "style" without being wasteful.
