Under the constant shroud of clouds and light rain, I find myself in constant awe of the Pacific Northwest. I know, I know, that doesn’t sound right—it almost sounds depressing. However, growing up in this green-stricken environment has consumed me. It’s led me to wear neutral tones, soft colors, and varying shades that would make many believe that I’m Mother Nature herself. I’ll admit it—I’ve fallen madly and deeply in love with Washington State.

And that’s what this piece of work is a reflection of. Michael Wilkins, photographer and colleague, felt the same way I did about our beautiful home, and during the semester break, we collaborated. In the following collection of photos, you will see an interpretation of what we believe the Pacific Northwest is made of.
