For our first excursion we traveled to Meda, Italy where we visited the Cassina Headquarters and we learned how furniture is made from start to finish. Furniture has a deep connection to the fashion industry, as the inspiration for designs can be drawn from fashion.

During the beginning stages the wood is kept outside. Throughout the seasons, the different types of weather adds to the beauty of the wood.

The seat of the chairs are all hand-woven.

Our tour guide shows us the finished product!
