Some Thoughts on My First Semester at LIM College

The holiday season is here and the retail industry has taken over my life. Luckily, I've already clocked my 150 hours for Work Project I and now I'm just collecting my paychecks.

Tommy Hilfiger has been a learning experience that I don't think I could get anywhere else. It taught me how to work in an extremely fast-paced environment, deal with customers with a language barrier, and assist the in-store PR team. These opportunities are slim-to-none at other retailers, and I strongly encourage each and every one of you to take full advantage of Work Project I if and when you do it. That is, if you attend LIM College next year, which I also strongly recommend!

LIM College has opened more doors for me than any of my other friends trying to break into the fashion industry. I'm constantly receiving emails about volunteer opportunities and internships that are available. Other colleges do not offer this - that's what makes this school so special. Financially its a stretch, but the opportunities make it all worth it. This is the time of year when some of you will be receiving your acceptance letters, and when I tell you that there is no other school like LIM College, I truly mean it!

Make your decisions wisely -- and happy holidays to you and yours.
