Top It Off

Easy to grip, boxy and fit. The top handle handbag seems to be the IT bag for Fall. Keeping your most stylish accessory close to hand, designers grasped the trend and carried it straight to the runways.

Louis Vuitton (above) brought trunk-like bags to the runway with prints, bronze tones, and metallic pop-offs.

Miu Miu (above) threw in a thick twisted top grip with colorful leathers and snakeskin. Other designers like Proenza Schouler and Simone Rocha accompanied the top handle trend with furry details.

Aside from the fur, beautifully detailed jewels were embellished by Dolce and Gabbana (above), matching their charmed, fairy-like kitten heels. It’s feminism at its finest. Alexander McQueen also played with the soft pinks, snakeskins, and strongbox shapes on this season’s handbags.

DiorMarc Jacobs, and Prada softened the shape, keept the top bar, and in addition, added a secret long strap for an occasionally sling around the shoulder.

Watching this season's runways, I noticed a recognizable trend in handbags has been noted by fashion followers and being loved. To top off your outfit of the day, I think everyone is going to need to get a grip and accessorize with a top handle bag.
