After arriving bright and early in Rome yesterday, I had a day I'd never forget. The villa we live in is breath taking. I've never seen so many cascading flowers and ivy adorning buildings in my life. The 80 degree weather didn't hurt either. This four bedroom apartment already feels like home. After unpacking and checking out our balconies, my friend Nicole and I went on a hunt for food.
LEARN ITALIAN! After several failed attempts at communication with the locals I couldn't help but laugh it off. Right on the main road we ate the most delicious pasta I have ever had in my entire life. The wine was flowing. Best way to understand a new city is to explore it. Before we knew it we had already located our grocery store and pharmacy. Every building and house has a personality all its own. Later that evening my 5 roommates and I went out for a great big family dinner. The variety of options blew my mind. Once we were loaded up on food, we decided to make friends with a rare species not often seen around LIM... the college male. So many different schools are in our same villa it was easy making friends and adjusting. Classes start tomorrow, wish me luck!
