Life is a journey, full of twists and turns and forks in the road. The key to discovering who you really are, or who you want to be, is how you react to these obstacles.

For me, 2015 was full of ups and downs. Last year, I learned a lot about myself, and what I truly value in this world.

In 2016 I realized that change is a good thing, and extremely necessary. If you are stagnant in life, you are not moving forward.

And while I may have had some hardships last year, I also found love. I fell in love with the public relations world and found a career that I know I am meant to do here in New York City thanks to an amazing opportunity, a public relations internship at Lush Cosmetics, a company that I am so passionate about.

I have so many exciting events happening in the future. I am currently writing this in an airport terminal, anxiously waiting to embark on the journey of a lifetime of living in Rome, Italy for the semester.

I am writing this blog to reflect and grow from the mistakes that I may have made, and to remember how far I have come as I go through 2016. I know that everything has led me up to this exciting point in my life. Throughout this study abroad experience, I am looking forward to continue my passion of travel and self-discovery in the magical country of Italy.
