It feels quite surreal that I am a junior this year. I guess time really does fly by. This is also the third semester I am blogging as an international student.
My classes are definitely a bit more challenging this year. One of the classes I am taking this semester is Public Relations. If you read some of my blog posts from last semester, you might remember that I interned at Diane von Fursterberg as a public relations intern. That particular fashion internship really sparked my interest in the field of fashion PR and I’m actually considering that as my future career path because I really enjoy that particular line of work.
LIM College’s Public Relations course has given me a more in-depth perspective on this specific field, including learning about the ethics and regulations involved in public relations. I think it is important to have some real-life experience, but having basic academic knowledge is just as crucial. As fashion students, we won’t make it in the real world without either of these important components.
