Once upon a time, looking like a nerd was a walk to the guillotine. No one wanted to be associated with an introverted, geeky, Steve Urkel appearance that everyone looked down upon. But that’s changed. College students and young adults all over the nation are bringing the chic to geek.

Forget the issue of necessity. Who needs eyeglasses to see? These frames of art are not just fashion accessories but are meant to suggest intellectuality. Whether it’s popping out the lenses or picking up a pair of overly sized, brightly colored, thick-framed, non-prescription specs, it seems as though every youngster is on a mission to look like the “sexy librarian.” Our favorite stars have…bought brains.
