LIM College is one of the most inspirational places for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in fashion. Not only are the halls filled with amazing quotes from fashion’s finest, but the students themselves are inspirational from their great personal style to their ambition to succeed.

Today’s LIM Student Style Profile features sophomore Caroline Amigron who is a true New Yorker at heart. I sat down with Caroline to chat about her personal style and the things that inspire her the most.

Name: Caroline Amigron

Year: Sophomore

Major: Fashion Merchandising

Hometown: New York, NY

How would you describe your personal style? My personal style really depends on my mood so it changes on a daily basis. I love dark colors and neutrals like white and beige. I'm also big on having staple pieces like a great pair of jeans, and white t-shirts. Those always come in handy.

Why did you choose to attend LIM? I chose to attend LIM because I wanted to be in an environment where people took their craft very seriously. Growing up I was never an artist. I didn't draw or paint so I knew that the business side of the fashion industry is what sparked my interest. As soon as I found LIM I knew this was the perfect place to prepare me for the business of fashion.

What is your favorite thing about attending LIM? My favorite thing about attending LIM would definitely have to be seeing how driven my peers are. A lot of students are attending school while working and interning and it's nice to be surrounded by people who are doing the same things as I am.

Favorite Designer? Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy. I can't afford to buy his clothes yet but I love his work. I'm also into designers who collaborate with brands that I can afford like Alexander Wang for H&M and Rihanna for Puma.

Style Inspiration? I am very inspired by New York City, I was born and raised here. The architecture of the buildings, the people on the street, my family, and my friends those are the things that inspire me.
