Exploring Online Education and Career Choices

posted by LIM College

It’s that time again…the beginning of the fall semester! I hope everyone had an awesome summer. My summer was lackluster, as all I really did was intern (still at Greg Norman Collection) five days a week.  I also took a mini-vacation to Fort Worth, Texas and I loved the vibe down there because it had the appeal of a big city (cool restaurants, fantastic shopping, fun nightlife), but without the crowds and fast-paced lifestyle.

Anyway, now that summer is over, I am back at school for the fall semester. I’m kind of excited for this semester because I only have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, which is great because it gives me more time to intern. I am also taking my first online class (Direct Marketing), which I absolutely love. I can do all of the assignments on my own time and I’m finding that I’m learning a lot more because I have a lot of flexibility.  However, you need to have a lot of self-discipline when it comes to an online class because you need to remember to keep up with all of the work.

Not only is it the beginning of the fall semester, but it is also the beginning of my senior year. It’s exciting, but absolutely terrifying at the same time.  All I can think about is the fact that once the month of May rolls along, I will no longer be confined to the secure hallways of LIM College; this totally freaks me out because not only do I really like school (yes, I’m a nerd), but also because I have no clue what career I want to pursue once I graduate. I think this year’s blog is definitely going to have a major focus on my search towards figuring out what career I really want, which is going to be hard because I’m very indecisive.

So here’s to another school year! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to use the Comments section here to ask them!
