Fun Places for Foodies in NYC

posted by Nicole Heaney

Although LIM students live a crazy busy life, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t leave time to explore different places in New York City. Now, for all my foodies out there, here is a list of a few places to try on your free time!

The_Bagel_Store.jpgThe Bagel Store

The Bagel Store is located at 349 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211. This bagel store sells crazy rainbow colored bagels with funfetti cream cheese filling. If you have a sweet tooth, this is definitely the place for you. The bagels supposedly taste just like froot loops, but it looks like you’re going to have to go try it yourself to test this theory!

Black_Tap.jpgBlack Tap NYC

Black Tap is located at 529 Broome St, New York, NY 10013. This is a fun place to go with friends on a day off from the busy life of an LIM student. They serve things like burgers, fries and of course these iconic milkshakes everyone has seen on their Facebook newsfeeds. One tip is definitely to make sure you have a ton of time when you go, sometimes the line to get in is down the block!

10_Below.jpg10 Below Ice Cream

10 Below is located at 132 Allen St, New York, NY 10013. This place takes a fun twist on a classic ice cream sundae. The ice cream is hand rolled and placed into cups and you can add the toppings of your choice. This place is definitely a fun stop to make after a long week out and will definitely make for an instagram worthy photo!

Cha_Cha_Matcha.jpgCha Cha Matcha

Cha Cha Matcha is located at 373 Broome St, New York, NY 10013. This fun drink has recently become the latest craze. You can definitely spot at least one or two people a day walking down the street with one of these green drinks in their hands. Matcha is finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea. It may seem weird at first, but you definitely have to give it a try next time you’re in SoHo!

Max_Brenner.jpgMax Brenner

Max Brenner is located at 841 Broadway, New York, NY 10003. If you’re in the mood for some chocolate or sweets this is the place to go. This restaurant sells regular bar type food as well as many dessert options which is what they’re best known for. Go with a group of friends and split some fondue!
