Winter Beauty Products

Ponds.jpgThe winter months in New York can definitely wreak havoc on your skin. Being a native New Yorker, I have come to hate the whole season of winter. Seriously, I absolutely hate the winter. Between the extremely low temperatures, snow, and heat radiators, my skin begins to take on properties of the Sahara Desert. And even though the winter can be really harsh, I have a few products that help me through these few terrible months.

1) Pond’s Dry Skin Cream.

This stuff is great. It is a very rich cream, so use it sparingly, but this really works. Usually, I only use this when my skin is extremely dry. I put it just on the areas of my face that get really dry (so basically everywhere except my forehead) at night and in the morning my skin is hydrated and looks so much better than it did the night before.

2) St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

St_Ives.jpgI absolutely love exfoliating my skin. It makes my skin feel so much cleaner. St. Ives is my go-to facial scrub. This particular one has salicylic acid to help keep blemishes to a minimum. I use this scrub three to four times a week, every other night. This scrub really gets all the dead skin cells off while still being gentle. I highly recommend this product to anyone, regardless of skin type.

3) Eos Lip balm

I’m sure everyone knows about these little egg shaped lip balms. At first, I was reluctant to use them because I was put off by the shape, but they are miracle workers. These little gems are extremely long lasting and moisturizing, and will make surviving the winter a lot easier.

4) Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Venom

Moving away from the skincare products, I have to say this product has helped get me through the winter. The formula of the lipstick is great, it is extremely long lasting and has a velvet finish. Although I love the formula, I bought the lipstick because I love the color. It is the perfect shade of burgundy that will look good on every skin tone. It also has blue undertones, so it will make your smile appear whiter. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is willing to try a bold lipstick for the winter.

 5) Stila Stay all Day Liquid Eyeliner

This eyeliner is AMAZING! This is my go-to product. The reason why this product snuck its way onto this list because the classic cat eye is a great winter look. It comes in a great range of shades, so if you don’t want to wear black eyeliner, you have other options, like navy blue, brown, and emerald green.

So there you go! These are the five beauty products that help me survive the winter! I hope you guys enjoyed my winter survival list.
